The Redevelopment Authority of Easton, PA (ERA) administers the City of Easton's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) allocation and PA HOME PROGRAM grant. Additionally, ERA oversees the redevelopment of the Simon Silk Mill and seeks to facilitate the rehabilitation of other blighted or vacant structures within the City limits.

These efforts will focus on enhancing the quality of life in the downtown, solidifying Easton's identity as a "college town" and promoting the uniqueness of our community's history, architecture, diverse culture and riverfront location. Through these efforts the EMSI aims to increase consumer business, build the retail, restaurant and professional services base and make downtown Easton the natural gathering place for the greater Easton community.

The Greater Easton Development Partnership (GEDP), formerly the Easton Economic Development Corporation, was developed with the purpose of stimulating downtown economic development in Easton. GEDP attempts to encourage cooperation and build leadership in the business community and create a positive image for downtown Easton by promoting it as an exciting place to live, visit, shop and invest. GEDP also assists with improving the appearance of downtown through art and streetscape projects and receives, administers and distributes funds in connection with activities related to our multiple loans and financial incentives for business owners and investors.
